Water resistance is a laboratory number
A rating such as 3 ATM, 5 ATM or 30 metres comes from a static pressure test on a new, sealed watch. It does not describe swimming, diving or a hot shower, where movement, temperature and soap all push water past a gasket that a static test never challenges.
Gaskets age. Treat any rating under 10 ATM as splash resistance only. Water damage from exposure beyond the stated rating is not covered by a return.
Accuracy, battery life and strap wear
Quartz and mechanical movements both drift, and the figures manufacturers publish are typical values rather than promises for your individual piece. Battery life depends on how often you use the functions. Leather darkens and softens with wear, which is the material behaving normally, not a defect.
Handbag materials
Where a listing says the material is leather, it is leather, with the grain variation that comes with it. Where it says PU or synthetic, the listing says so. We do not describe a synthetic as leather. Colour, grain and small surface marks vary between pieces in natural materials.
Photography
Product photos are taken under studio lighting. Screens differ, and a dial that reads warm on one monitor can read cool on another. We publish measurements for this reason, and a colour mismatch is a normal, accepted reason to return an item.
