The short answer

We do not sell your personal information, and we never have. We do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising either. There is no money changing hands over your data, so there is nothing for you to opt out of.

This page exists because California law requires us to say so in a place you can find, and because you may want the statement in writing. The full picture is in our Privacy Policy.

What California law means by “sale” and “sharing”

Under the CCPA and the CPRA, a “sale” is any disclosure of personal information to another business for money or other value. “Sharing” covers passing data to advertisers so they can target you across other websites.

Both definitions are broader than the everyday meaning, which is why many stores that would never call themselves data brokers still have to disclose a sale. Ours does not fall into either category.

What we do with your data instead

We pass it to the companies that make an order happen, and only the fields they need:

  • Our third-party fulfilment partner in China receives your name, address and phone number so your parcel can be packed and dispatched.
  • Stripe and PayPal handle payment.
  • Carriers deliver the parcel.
  • Our email and analytics providers run the site and our messages to you.

These are service providers working under contract on our instructions. None of them may reuse your data for their own marketing, and none of them pays us for it.

Sending an opt-out anyway

You are entitled to send the request even though there is nothing to stop. We will log it, confirm in writing that no sale or sharing occurs, and keep your record flagged so that position cannot change quietly later.

Email [email protected] with DO NOT SELL in the subject line, and include:

  • Your full name
  • The email address used on your order
  • An order number, if you have one
  • The state you live in

How we check it is really you

We match what you send against our order records. That is usually enough. If it is not, we ask one or two follow-up questions about an order you placed. We will never ask for your social security number, a government ID, or a card number to verify a privacy request, and any message that does is not from us.

Someone acting on your behalf

An authorised agent can file for you with written permission signed by you. We will still contact you directly to confirm before we act.

Timing

We acknowledge your request within 10 business days and complete it within 45 calendar days. If a case genuinely needs longer, we extend once by a further 45 days and tell you before the first deadline passes.

Asking costs you nothing

We do not charge a fee, raise a price, withhold a discount, or refuse service because somebody exercised a privacy right. Doing so would be unlawful, and it would also be a strange way to treat a customer.

The other rights you have

Access, correction, deletion and limiting the use of sensitive information are all available to you. The Privacy Policy sets out how to use each one.
